Responsibilities:
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Manages administrative tasks, recruiting, and scheduling of temporary employees through multiple Employment Agencies.
Provides support and guidance to senior leadership, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
Including but not limited to reviewing timecards, computing wages, reconciling wages, overtime, and other types of pay with accuracy and compliance.
Post, update and reconcile all employee-related payroll deductions (garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, etc.
) Responsible for updating and reconciling Employee Loan Agreements.
Responsible for updating and reconciling 401k EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) Data Management.
Maintain employee records and adhere to all state and federal laws.
Attends department manager meetings to increase HR visibility and aids in implementation of HR initiatives.
Perform administrative tasks related to the company's Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Employee Navigator, The Standard, Indeed, etc.
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Provides timely Performance Review Reports to all department heads to ensure completion of evaluations.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to productivity, attendance, recognition, moral, occupational health and safety, etc.
Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
Create and distribute monthly Newsletter and Calendars Plan, organize, and communicate company activities such as holiday parties and fundraising.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications when necessary.
Manages Workers Compensation claims to ensure appropriate employee care and manage costs.
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
