30pm General Purpose:
The Product Quality Technician facilitates the inbound, proactive and RMA inspection of products by conducting functional and visual inspections as per test instructions, recording test results, segregating, and controlling the release of products into available inventory when products have been confirmed to have met the required specifications.
Quality Technicians collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the company to assist in troubleshooting and resolving product quality issues.
Key
Responsibilities:
Inbound Product Inspections 40%:
Performs inbound product reviews, functional testing and visual inspection of new and existing products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
A combination of New and existing products are prioritized for testing and are released into inventory or held in quarantine as required.
Products are released once they are confirmed to comply with relevant certifications and are manufactured to the correct specifications.
Lab equipment maintenance and the auditing of available lab equipment is a key part of this position to ensure the timely release of products.
In-process inspection (product audits of inventory) 10%:
Selects samples of finished goods from inventory to proactively audit the quality of the products being received from vendors and records the results.
Performs audits to follow up on customer reported issues, confirms if the inventory is exposed to the customer reported defect and communicates the findings to Product Management and Product Quality groups.
RMA Processing 40%:
Assists with returned defective product sorting, receiving, and testing.
Records the results and dispositions good units to be repacked and defective units to be recycled.
Data entry, inspection reports and administration 10%:
Records the inspection results of inbound, in process and RMA inspections.
Prepares reports summarizing the results of inbound/ in process inspections and communicates the findings to the Product Management, Product Quality and Supply Chain groups.
Maintains the quarantine database by setting and removing flags products can be released out of quarantine or held for QC inspection.
Education &
Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Country specific.
Experience:
2 to 5 years of experience in a Quality related role Recommended Skills Administration Auditing Data Entry Databases Maintenance Manufacturing Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
