The Senior IT Business Analyst is responsible for supporting daily Distribution center operations for problem solving and process improvement . This requires understanding end to end business processes and providing a point of view on how to leverage existing business systems as well as proposing potential new systems solution. The Sr. BA is also responsible for working with business users on gathering and documenting business and functional requirements, building new business cases, proposing prioritzed enhancement/project requests and coordinating with the development teams and program management office to deliver specific enhancements and projects. The Sr. BA will build end-user relationships, triage day-to-day escalations and perform issues resolution for responsible system domains. This requires performing analysis and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities.
Responsibilities
As part of Distribution center support/Enhancement IT team, provide 2nd level production support.
Support DC Operations from IT side tracking and resolving issues.
Identifies impacts and proposes recommendations to current business processes or problems.
Identifies and documents functional requirements, workflow, information sources and high level system specifications.
Document requirements for software enhancements , testing the enhancement and engaging user acceptance testing.
Provides support , Training and guidance to super users or other analysts.
Supports business systems and operations to improve business results and operational effectiveness.
Develops and evaluates user requirements for new requests/projects.
Communicates user requirements to IT development and delivery teams.
Communicates with software vendors for support.
Assists in problem resolution as needed to ensure that customers receive prompt, efficient service in accordance with company policies.
Facilitates weekly user status meetings.
Some domestic travel may be required.
Availability to support off-hours when needed for urgent issues.
Requirements
Should have strong operations knowledge of Multi-Channel Distribution center in an IT role supporting/Developing IT systems.
Strong systems knowledge of redprairie or any top-tier WMS is must. Able to modify system configuration for basic support issues. Also be able to create and run queries for analysis and support.
3-5 years of experience or equivalent work knowledge
Working knowledge and experience with IT project development processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to interface with internal customers, management and outside vendors.
Good business acumen, extremely process oriented. Good trouble-shooting skills with a successful track record of removing project road blocks and engineering business solutions to both technical and non-technical problems.
Technically proficient - Knowledge of any Top tier WMS is a must. Knowledge of MOCA/SQL is desired.Need Microsoft office skills.
General good understanding of software development processes, in particular in a SOX and PCI driven environment.
Experience with regression testing is necessary.
Preference will be given to individuals with Red Prairie experience though it is not a must.
College Degree or equivalent work experience (5
years) as a Business Systems Analyst.
Working knowledge and experience with IT project development processes.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
