Customer Service Technical Advisor



Primary Function


Technical Specialists is responsible for providing technical/troubleshooting assistance, general product information, warranty assistance, and limited parts order processing on product that requires extensive product knowledge.  Their primary customers are general contractors, service professionals, facility maintenance personnel, architects, engineers and other professionals responsible for ensuring equipment is specified adequately and functional at all times.   Technical Specialists work to assist callers to repair rather than replace this equipment where possible.



Responsibilities



  • Respond promptly to customer needs and inquiries for service or assistance by telephone, on-line network, and mail.

  • Receive calls from service professionals to assist with troubleshooting water treatment equipment.

  • Provide product specification information.

  • Provide reference numbers to ensure warranty coverage on equipment/parts.

  • Train new and existing technicians on water treatment products.

  • Assist customers with sizing of water treatment equipment.

  • Help maintain and update training content and media for new and existing products.

  • Refer callers to distributors for purchase of equipment, replacement parts, and service.

  • Document caller, product information, and nature of the call.

  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.



Qualifications



  • Associates degree

  • Experience in customer service, training, or related functions preferred

  • Familiarity with water treatment preferred

  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written

  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Good typing/keyboarding skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Plumbing experience is helpful

  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
